Stem Serves as Faculty Member at Alba Music Festival

Erich Stem joined the 2024 Alba Music Festival Composition Program as a resident faculty member, serving alongside composers Elliott Miles McKinley, Jennifer Bellor, and J Anthony Allen, as well as guest faculty Carl Schimmel and resident composer Aaron Jay Kernis. The composition program, located in Alba, Italy, took place during the summer of 2024 as part of the Alba Music Festival. Participating composers had the opportunity to take private lessons and engage in masterclasses and workshops. Participants in the program also had their works performed and professionally recorded by members of the 2024 ensemble-in-residence, the SOLI Chamber Ensemble.
